📋 Directives for SLEAS Officers & Administrative Heads

All officers in the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service should carefully follow the operational procedures outlined in the official ministry circular:

  • Verification of Scheduled Stations: Officers belonging to Grade I, Grade II, and Grade III must check their assigned stations in the Schedule of Transfers (Annex 01).
  • Submission of Transfer Appeals: If an officer has valid administrative, service, or personal grounds to request a review of their assigned station, an appeal must be filed using the prescribed Specimen Appeal Form (Annex 02).
  • Submission Channel: Appeals must be routed through proper institutional channels (via the respective Zonal/Provincial Director or Head of Division) to reach the Ministry of Education on or before September 30, 2026. Late submissions will not be forwarded to the Transfer Board.
  • Assumption of Duties: Officers taking up duties under the approved transfer placements must complete and submit the official Duty Assumption Form (Annex 03) to ensure payroll and service records continue without interruption starting January 01, 2027.

Who is eligible to submit an appeal against this transfer list?

Any SLEAS Grade I, II, or III officer whose name appears on the scheduled 2027 transfer list may submit a formal appeal detailing service-related or compassionate grounds using Annexure 02.

Can transfer appeals be submitted after September 30, 2026?

No. The Ministry of Education will close the appeal intake at the end of the working day on September 30, 2026, to allow the Transfer Board sufficient time to review and publish the final confirmed list before year-end.

When do the officers need to report to their newly appointed stations?

Unless otherwise directed by a subsequent ministry ruling or decision of the Public Service Commission, all officers must assume duties at their assigned stations on January 01, 2027.
