இலங்கை புகையிரத திணைக்களத்தின் தரம் III புகையிரத இயந்திர சாரதி உதவியாளர் (Engine Driver Assistant Grade III) பதவியிலுள்ள 80 வெற்றிடங்களை திறந்த போட்டிப் பரீட்சை ஊடாக நிரப்புவதற்காக வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தல் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. க.பொ.த. சாதாரண தரத்தில் சித்தியடைந்து, TVEC அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட 2 வருட தொழில்நுட்ப சான்றிதழ் கொண்ட 18-35 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட ஆண் விண்ணப்பதாரிகள் மாதிரி படிவத்தைப் பூர்த்தி செய்து பதிவுத் தபால் ஊடாக 2026 செப்டம்பர் 28 ஆம் திகதிக்கு முன்னர் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
- Salary Code: MT 1-2025 under Schedule I of Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025.
- Monthly Consolidated Scale: Rs. 50,090 – 10x540 – 11x630 – 10x1,010 – 10x1,190 – Rs. 84,420/-.
- Nature of Post: Permanent and pensionable appointment in the Sri Lanka Railways operational cadre.
- Post-Recruitment Training: Selected candidates must undergo a mandatory 3-month theoretical and practical training programme before operational line duties.
Candidates must meet all age, educational, technical, and physical requirements as of September 28, 2026:
1. Age Requirement:
- Must be not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age as of 28.09.2026.
- Eligible birth dates: Born on or before 28.09.2008 and on or after 28.09.1991.
2. Educational Qualifications:
- Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination in six (06) subjects in a single sitting with credit passes in:
- Language (Sinhala / Tamil / English)
- Mathematics
- Science
- One other subject
3. Professional / Vocational Qualification:
- Must possess a verified 2-year technical course certificate recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
4. Physical & Medical Standards:
- Gender: Open exclusively to male Sri Lankan citizens.
- Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches (5' 4").
- Eyesight: Must pass the certified 6/6 vision examination (normal colour vision required).
- Physical Fitness: Must possess sound physical and mental fitness to operate running locomotives across the island.
Selection will be made through an open competitive examination comprising a technical knowledge subject evaluation:
