📋 Admission Requirements & Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following baseline qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree of minimum three (3) years duration (with a minimum of 90 course credits) at SLQF Level 5 from a recognized university; AND
• Must be currently serving in one of the following roles:
  • Teacher or Principal of a recognized school
  • In-service Advisor (ISA) or Teacher Educator
  • Officer in the Sri Lanka Educational Administrative Service (SLEAS)
  • Officer in the Sri Lanka Principal Service (SLPS)
  • Full-time academic staff member of a University, National College of Education (NCoE), Technical College, or Teachers' College
  • Manager of a Teacher Center, or Lecturer at the National Institute of Education (NIE); OR
• A Head of a recognized educational institution, or any other professional in Education, Administration, and Management acceptable to the OUSL Senate; OR
• An equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of The Open University of Sri Lanka.

1. Visit the official OUSL online admission portal: reginfo.ou.ac.lk/applyonline/.
2. Create your student applicant account using an active email address and personal mobile number.
3. Select the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management (PGDELM) intake.
4. Complete all personal, academic, and professional service fields accurately.
5. Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,000/= online using a Debit/Credit card or generate a bank voucher to pay at any OUSL Regional or Study Centre island-wide.
6. Submit the digital application on or before October 14, 2026, and download the application confirmation slip for your records.

⚠️ Important Candidate Notice: Online applications close on 14 October 2026. Late submissions, unverified degree transcripts, or incomplete candidate submissions will not be processed by the Board of Study.
