According to the Gazette notification published under the Service Minute of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Standard Cadre Requirement: The 3rd Efficiency Bar Examination must be completed within four (04) years of promotion to Grade I in Class 2 (Grade 2-I) of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service (SLTS) or the Provincial Public Services Teachers' Service.
  • Concession / Transitional Rule: Teachers who have exceeded four years since being promoted to Grade 2-I, but whose promotion date to Grade I falls after 30.06.2025, are also required and eligible to sit for this 3rd Efficiency Bar Examination to qualify for Grade I promotion.
  • Special Needs Candidates: Candidates requiring special examination facilities must state this in the online portal and submit certified medical proofs directly along with a printed copy of the application.

No. Requests to modify the requested examination center town or chosen language medium (Sinhala, Tamil, or English) will not be entertained under any circumstances after submission.
