Sri Lanka Railway Department: Recruitment of Procurement Officers (Grade III) 2026
The Sri Lanka Railway Department has officially announced the open competitive examination for the recruitment of Procurement Officers (Grade III) under the Associate Officer Service category. Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens to fill 04 permanent and pensionable positions, with the competitive examination to be conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA).

⚖️ Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Applicants must be not less than 21 years and not more than 35 years of age on the closing date of applications (26.10.2026).
- Educational & Professional Qualifications:
- A Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in Mathematics, Science, Management, Information Technology, Commerce, Business Management, Economics, or Statistics; OR
- A Degree in any discipline recognized by the UGC, along with at least two (02) years of verifiable work experience in the field of procurement.
- Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of Sri Lanka of excellent moral character and sound physical fitness.
💵 Salary Scale
Applicable salary scale is MN 4-2025 along with government-approved monthly allowances:
Rs. 53,060 - 10x800 - 11x1,190 - 10x1,320 - 5x1,350 - Rs. 94,100/-
📝 Selection Scheme & Written Examination
Selection will be carried out through a competitive written examination conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) in January 2027, followed by a structured interview for candidates who qualify.
