💳 Programme Fee Structure

Fees may be paid in installments (MPhil: 3 installments | PhD: 4 installments):

• MPhil (Social Science / Management): Rs. 390,000/- (Includes Rs. 8,000/- Refundable Library Deposit).
• MPhil (Pure / Applied Science): Rs. 450,000/- (Includes Rs. 18,000/- Refundable Library & Lab Deposits).
• PhD (Social Science / Management): Rs. 655,000/- (Includes Rs. 8,000/- Refundable Library Deposit).
• PhD (Pure / Applied Science): Rs. 740,000/- (Includes Rs. 18,000/- Refundable Library & Lab Deposits).

💵 Application Fee Payment Methods

The application fee is Rs. 3,500/- per application form. A copy of the payment receipt must be attached to the application.

1. Counter Payment (Local Candidates)

Payable at any People’s Bank branch island-wide using a standard deposit slip:

• PhD Reference: 42675036 – 2360187 (Amount: Rs. 3,500/-)

2. Bank Transfer (Foreign Candidates)

3. Online Payment

Payments can also be made electronically via the official University of Jaffna online payment system for both local and foreign applicants.

📮 How to Apply

1. Obtain the prescribed application form from the Faculty of Graduate Studies or download it directly from the university website.
2. Pay the required Rs. 3,500/- application fee via counter deposit or online payment and retain the official receipt.
3. Complete all required sections clearly and attach the original payment receipt along with referee reports and research proposal documents.
4. Clearly state “Application for MPhil / PhD – 2026” on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
5. Submit the completed application package by registered post or by hand during office hours on or before December 31, 2026.
