🎓 Key Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill all the following eligibility conditions on or before November 02, 2026:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Age Limit: Must be not less than 25 years and not more than 35 years of age as of November 02, 2026.
- Character & Fitness: Must possess excellent character and sufficient physical and mental fitness to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
- Educational Qualifications:
- G.C.E. (Advanced Level): Passed in at least one (01) subject (excluding Common General Test and General English).
- G.C.E. (Ordinary Level): Passed in six (06) subjects in a single sitting, with Credit Passes (C) in:
- Sinhala / Tamil / English Language (determines the medium of exam)
- Mathematics
- Two other subjects
📝 Examination Scheme & Selection Process
Recruitment will be conducted through a Written Competitive Examination followed by a Fitness Assessment Interview.
1. Written Competitive Examination (Total: 200 Marks)
Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in each paper to qualify:
- General Knowledge (100 Marks | 1 Hour): Multiple-choice paper testing general knowledge related to hostel management, welfare, discipline, and security.
- Intelligence Test (100 Marks | 1 Hour): Multiple-choice paper assessing numerical ability, logical reasoning, and general intelligence.
2. Fitness Assessment Interview (Total: 100 Marks)
Shortlisted candidates (up to twice the number of vacancies based on written merit) will be called for the interview. Evaluation breakdown includes:
- Additional O/L & A/L Qualifications
- Computer Skills (up to 15 marks for Diplomas/Certificates)
- Language Proficiency (up to 15 marks for English or other languages)
- Professional Presentation & Personality (30 marks total, including a maximum 3-minute presentation)
🛠️ Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring discipline, security, proper food provision, and health monitoring of hostel residents.
- Inspecting food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining stock and inventory records.
- Overseeing public property, student belongings, regular supply of water and electricity, and arrival/departure logs.

- Public Sector Candidates: Officers currently serving in the public sector must submit a certified copy through their Head of Institution.
