Editor's guidance (general advice, not part of the notice)

The points below are general guidance by GovInfo.lk, not part of the official notice.

  • Treat 21 November as a receipt deadline. The notice says the application must "reach" the University by that date, so post it with registered mail days earlier and keep the receipt.
  • Check the payment details with the University. The account number is printed in the notice. Confirm it on the University's website before you pay, and keep the original receipt for each application.
  • Match your certificates to the post. The ICT post needs NVQ Level 5 in an ICT field, and the Machinist post needs NVQ Level 4 relevant to the function. Check the level and field on your certificate.
  • Craft Demonstrator applicants: get service certificates that state the field of work, the grade of the post and the period of service, so the University can see you meet either the 15-year or the three-year route.
  • Technical Officer, Seg "B": your training programme is judged by the faculty concerned, so attach full details of its content and its full-time duration.
  • Government employees: ask your Head of Institution to forward the application early. Do not rely on the advance copy alone.
  • Keep copies of everything you send, including the receipt, since the notice allows rejection without informing you.
Before you apply: use the application form and instructions on the University's vacancies page, and read the full notice for any detail not covered here.
